The three speed IGH (Internal Gear Hubs) gearbox from English Sturmey-Archer is perfect for the urban environment. You can change gears even while stationary. The switch to the next gear is almost immediate and does not require that transition time "on the move" until the chain jumps to the next ratchet that we see in conventional derailleur systems.
Thanks to its sealed internal mechanism, without exposed gears, IGH changes do not require lubrication or frequent adjustments.

The perfect urban bike. Very agile, accelerates super fast. The inner hub together with the belt drive is the urban cyclist's dream. No worries about gear shifting, falling, lubrication or chain break. Also no problem with dirt on clothes or hand if you need to do some maintenance on the rear wheel. The saddle worked very well for me. I found the gauntlets too hard, but I will keep them for now because they are beautiful and match the saddle. The pedal was the only thing I needed to change so far because they are too small and uncomfortable. The handlebars despite the strange shape worked very well too. I thought it would be one of the first things to replace but I ended up enjoying it a lot. The fact that it's very curved back makes up for the fact that the frame is very long, but I still had to put the saddle well forward. The 3-speed hub has a little short range, but in the configuration that comes on the bike I think it was just right. It doesn't have such a light gear for steeper climbs, but it has a good final speed. It was a lot of fun in town. Very positive point also for Riva's after-sales. I had a problem with the gear and it was quickly solved by changing the part. That passes a lot of safety when indicating the bike to other people.

The bike is very pleasant to ride and perfectly meets the proposal of urban travel. The geometry of the frame is very good and the size patterns are small. That was a big question when I bought it because I have 1.65 and all my bikes are P size and this model has options only M and G. I can say that the M was perfect for me. The internal gearbox works a bit differently than conventional gearboxes but in 5 minutes on the bike you are already familiar with it. Don't expect such a big range as in a bike with many gears... they are only 3 and they fit very well most urban routes, except if the ride is composed by very long climbs and ingressions and mainly if you are a beginner cyclist. The gear ratio allows for a very good cruising speed and the saddle is quite comfortable. The bike is very well assembled with excellent quality components and the price is fair for what it offers. I was totally satisfied with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants a comfortable urban bike, with good cycling, excellent transmission and brakes that requires very low maintenance and still with a differentiated design.
